New Moves in The Credit Union Industry…

There have been major moves in the credit union industry this week. Coastal Credit Union announced two new Vice Presidents, Member Driven Technologies announced the addition of a vice president of fintech services, Greylock Federal Credit Union welcomed a new Vice President of Marketing, and many more hires and promotions.

New Hires

  • Member Driven Technologies announced the addition of industry veteran Pete Major as vice president of fintech services. “I’ve worked closely with MDT for nearly two decades and have always respected and admired the organization; their deep commitment to clients as well as employees and culture resonates with me and is ultimately what drew me to the organization,” said Major. “I look forward to this new role, ensuring our credit unions are leveraging the technology and solutions that best meet their internal and member service needs.”

  • Greylock Federal Credit Union welcomes Roberta McCulloch-Dews as Vice President of Marketing. “We are thrilled that Roberta has agreed to bring her passion for improving the lives of those around her to Greylock,” said Greylock Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer JamieEllen Moncecchi. “We are proud to have such a strong leader, empowering mentor, and unwavering champion of the Berkshires on Team Greylock.”

  • Christopher Laroche, a financial services veteran with more than 30 years of experience, has been hired as Vice President of Consumer Lending at Coastal Credit Union. Laroche has held executive positions with Atlantic Union Bank, SunTrust, and J.P. Morgan Chase.  During his career, he has managed retail loan and credit card businesses across consumer and small business segments, driving financial institution growth by launching best-in-class products and leveraging 3rd party FinTech programs.

  • Steve Raspotnik has joined Community First Financial Advisors as a registered financial advisor serving members of Community First Credit Union through CUSO Financial Services, LP (CFS).* With Community First Financial Advisors, Raspotnik will provide comprehensive financial planning, IRA solutions, 401(k) rollover options and retirement income planning in the Fox Cities area.

Promotions

  • United Federal Credit Union has promoted Tara Hudson to the position of Director of Loss Prevention and Assets Recovery. In her new role with United, Hudson will provide vision, leadership, and coaching to United’s foreclosure, fraud, bankruptcy, repossession, collections, and loss mitigation and recovery teams. She will also manage a portfolio of assigned commercial loans and will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing economic trends.

  • Ann Riney has been promoted to director of underwriting, and assistant vice president at Western Vista Credit Union. Riney has been a member of the Western Vista team since June 1987 and is the credit union’s longest-tenured employee. Riney manages underwriting and the consumer loan processing department. During her tenure, she successfully implemented indirect lending and credit card programs and provides training on loan policy to the lending team.

  • Tanr Tempel has been promoted from indirect lending manager to director of indirect sales at Western Vista Credit Union. Tempel is a seasoned sales professional and has spent the last 17 years in banking and healthcare. He works with automotive and RV dealerships across Wyoming, as well as in Colorado, Nebraska and Montana, cultivating relationships to expand Western Vista’s lending portfolio in the western region. Tempel has been instrumental in the growth of the credit union’s indirect lending program in his five years at Western Vista.

  • Shanna Flynn, who has been with Coastal Credit Union for more than 13 years, has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Core & Business Application. She most recently was Manager, Business Applications, managing the day-to-day operation of critical systems. In her new role, she will be focusing on developing Coastal’s long-term application strategy in collaboration with business partners, including systems automation, and spend alignment.
