Credit Unions Announce New Hires and Promotions and Retired Royal Credit Union CEO Receives Legends of the Movement Award

Several credit unions announced new hires/promotions, including Greylock Federal Credit Union and Westerra Credit Union. Additionally, the retired CEO of Royal Credit Union was recognized with a Legends of the Movement award.

  • Royal Credit Union (Royal) announces Michael Geissler as Vice President - Commercial Loan Officer in White Bear Lake. In this position, Geissler will be responsible for developing and managing a complex portfolio of commercial and commercial real estate loans and deposits while building new and existing Member relationships.

  • Westerra Credit Union is excited to announce Mary White, an industry veteran, has joined the team as its newest Mortgage Loan Officer. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Mary brings extensive expertise across a wide range of lending areas, including renovation lending, construction-to-permanent financing, new construction, conventional, FHA and VA loans. Throughout her career, Mary has also led mortgage teams across Colorado, which has earned her a strong reputation in the field.

  • Wescom Credit Union is excited to share that it has recently welcomed Michael Cederbaum to its senior leadership bench. Mike, in his new role as Vice President of Partner Development at the Credit Union, will focus on leading Wescom’s two key strategic partnerships with UCLA and Knott’s Berry Farm, Community Engagement and overseeing the Wescom Foundation.

  • Consumers Credit Union announces the appointment of two new mortgage loan officers, Hannah Ritzenhein and Lana Cortes, who will be serving the Cascade and 54th Street offices respectively. Ritzenhein brings along her background in loan processing and has seen success as a mortgage loan officer due to her deep understanding of the operational side of mortgage lending. Joining Ritzenhein in the Grand Rapids area is Lana Cortes at the 54th Street office. Cortes has a decade of banking experience, starting as a teller and eventually specializing in helping people achieve their dream of homeownership.

  • Neighborhood Credit Union announced that Steve Boylan has been hired as senior vice president of lending and collections responsible for managing all aspects of consumer lending, indirect lending, mortgage lending, and collections while adhering to all state and federal regulations and rules.

  • Robins Financial Credit Union proudly welcomes Jeremy Cobb as the new Vice President of Risk and Assistant General Counsel. In this role, Cobb will be responsible for leading our Risk Management and Collections teams, while also managing and advising on the credit union's legal activities. 

  • The Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) is proud to welcome Cindy Parker as its Director of Conferences and Events. Parker joins DCUC with nearly 20 years experience in the credit union industry, bringing professional skills in strategic meeting management, specializing in large-scale conferences and exhibits for C- suite audiences and cross-functional teams.

Recognitions

  • Unitus Community Credit Union’s Vice Chair of the Board of Directors Nicole Davison León has won the Distinguished Director Award at the GoWest Association’s annual MAXX Awards. This recognition is awarded to a board director who has displayed outstanding achievements and accomplishments.

  • During isolved's Virtual Connect customer and partner conference this week, the company celebrated organizations and individuals who are creating experiences that matter for employers and employees. Alongside these recognitions, isolved announced new events for 2025 to meet People Heroes and partners where they are and support their success. Julie Montgomery created a strategic human resources (HR) force at Community First Credit Union, reducing 'time to fill' from 60 to 20 days. With isolved, she continues finding efficiencies to enhance HR processes and consistently shares her insights and learnings with the People Heroes Community.

  • Royal Credit Union announces former president/CEO, Charlie Grossklaus has received a Legends of The Movement award from the Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation. The award recognizes and honors past and current credit union leaders in the state of Wisconsin for their service, commitment, and significant impact on the credit union movement at the local and/or state level.  Inductees to the Legends of the Movement include board chairs, credit union CEOs, and credit union board members.

Promotions

  • Greylock Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of Becki Beron to Assistant Vice President, Market Manager. In her role, Beron will coordinate and supervise the ongoing activities of a region that includes Greylock’s Kellogg Street, Allendale and Lanesborough branch locations. She will supervise and serve the branch managers and assistant branch managers within her market and advise Greylock’s senior leaders on strategies to better support the company’s mission and goals within the region. 

  • APCU/Center Parc Credit Union announced the promotion of Amanda Marchese to serve as its Vice President of Consumer Lending. In this role, Amanda will lead lending operations, including loan sales and loan processing, for the more than $2.3B organization. In addition to ensuring a seamless experience for borrowers, she will also create, develop and implement strategies to achieve loan production objectives for the organization.

    Bridgette Mayon, Chief Experience Officer

  • Coastal Credit Union has promoted Marin Sawyer to VP of Deposit Operations. In her role, Sawyer will develop and execute Coastal’s deposit and payment services strategies in support of the credit union’s overall strategic plan. She will lead deposit and payment services process improvement, direct service delivery operations, build highly competent customer service teams, and ensure compliance throughout her service areas.

  • The National Credit Union Administration Board named Katherine Easmunt as the agency’s Chief Ethics Counsel, effective November 3. In this role, Ms. Easmunt oversees the Office of Ethics Counsel, which certifies the agency’s compliance with federal ethics laws and regulations, promotes a culture of accountability and integrity, and helps ensure the success of the NCUA’s ethics program. Ms. Easmunt also manages the NCUA’s anti-harassment program.

Appointments

  • The Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) is proud to announce the appointment of Dietrich Kuhlmann, President and Chief Executive Officer at Navy Federal Credit Union to its Board of Directors. Dietrich Kuhlmann brings financial acumen and a life of service to the Bob Woodruff Foundation. His leadership at Navy Federal led to the success of the organization's strategy, governance and employee engagement. Kuhlmann served 35 years on Active Duty in the U.S. Navy and is a recipient of the Navy Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal and other individual and unit decorations. His business prowess will help the Foundation continue to grow while considering the specific needs of the veteran and military communities.
