The Dakota Credit Union Foundation (Foundation) held their 8th Annual Golf Scramble on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Rose Creek Golf Course in Fargo, ND. The day was dedicated to raising funds for the new CU4Kids Micropreemie Unit at Fargo’s Sanford Children’s Hospital, the state’s only Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital.

More than 70 individuals making up 17 teams and representing a diverse group from both North and South Dakota credit unions, as well as many business solution partners, community supporters, and executives from Sanford Children’s Hospital participated, making this a very successful event!

Thanks to a $5,000 sponsorship from Velera, along with meal and beverage sponsorships from North Star Community Credit Union (Maddock, ND); Hometown Credit Union (Kulm, ND) and the Red River Chapter of Credit Unions (Fargo, ND); along with the many hole and team sponsors and players, the Foundation presented a check to Sanford Children’s Hospital for $25,000.

“We are extremely proud of our Foundation’s charitable work this year, with the Board stepping up to make major commitments to our local CMN Hospitals,” stated Dakota Credit Union Association’s President/CEO Jeff Olson. “We could not do this without the backing of our member credit unions, and we are grateful for their continued financial support. There is no doubt that physical well-being is closely tied to financial well-being, and credit unions in the Dakotas are demonstrating that they are committed to healthier communities in every way,” he added.

Earlier this year, the Foundation pledged a total of $200,000 to be donated to North and South Dakotas’ three CMN Hospitals over the next several years. As always, Dakotas’ credit unions are happy to support the kids and the special care provided to sick and injured children at our regional CMN Hospitals.
