evolve FCU hosted its third Social Purpose event of 2024. Kids Day at the Zoo was held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, where local children’s organizations from the community were invited to spend the day at the El Paso Zoo. Organizations included, Make-A-Wish North Texas, Child Crisis Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso, Center Against Sexual & Family Violence, El Paso Children’s Miracle Network, Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home and Candlelighters. The event featured a private area at the pavilion where the children and families enjoyed food, an animal show, a special view to the zebras area and all-day access to the zoo full of animal shows celebrating the 20th Annual Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta.

Throughout the year evolve helps local children’s organizations through quarterly events. This includes fundraisers, donation events, fun events at such as the El Paso Zoo, movie theater showings or sporting events. evolve FCU’s upcoming event will take place in December. For the 5th year in a row, it will host, ‘A Shoe Story,’ in partnership with Academy Sports & Outdoors West El Paso where the credit union will wrap and donate hundreds of shoes to children from these organizations.
