Leadship Changes At Aux And InNetwork

Back-office support CUSO Aux and shared branch network CUSO InNetwork announce the following changes in leadership.

Doug Burke, CEO of Aux and InNetwork since the CUSO’s founding in 1992, will be retiring effective March 31, 2023. Burke has led the organizations from their origins as a shared branching CUSO, CU Service Network (CUSN), through the addition of back-office services in accounting and compliance and the CUSO’s rebranding in 2020 as Aux (back-office services) and InNetwork (shared branch network). Burke ran the original shared branch network for seven years as part of the Mountain West Credit Union Association, before it was spun off as CUSN. Under Burke’s leadership and direction, the CUSO has grown significantly and now serves over 200 credit union clients across 38 states. This past year, Burke was recognized nationally as a CU Luminary by CU Times for his lifetime of contributions to the credit union industry.

"After 37 years of helping credit unions across the country succeed and excel, it is time to start a new life chapter in retirement”, according to Burke, “and I have had the great pleasure to work with an awesome team of people over the years who also embrace the credit union mantra of ‘people helping people’. I couldn’t have chosen a better career or group of people to do it with!”

Burke will be succeeded by Aux and InNetwork’s current CFO, Diane Parham. The Aux Board considered a range of candidates to replace Burke once he announced his plans to retire and selected its internal candidate, Diane Parham, as the best choice to lead the CUSO forward. Parham joined Aux in 2019 as its CFO and led its Accounting Services team. Previously, Parham was CFO at Member’s Choice Credit Union in Houston, Texas. Since joining Aux, the Accounting Services team has added CFO Consulting services and has experienced tremendous growth, serving over 45 credit unions ranging in asset size from $13M to $800M. Parham will become CEO of Aux and InNetwork on April 1, 2023, upon Burke’s official retirement. In the meantime, the two will be working closely to create an effective leadership transition.

“I am excited to take the reins from Doug and know that I have big shoes to fill”, says Parham, adding, ”Doug has created an awesome organization with incredible momentum that continues to have huge potential for growth. Aux and InNetwork provide much-needed services for all types of credit unions who seek to save time and money and add competitive expertise by outsourcing essential back-office functions or choosing shared branch advantages. I look forward to leading these organizations to help even more credit unions succeed.”

Aux Board Chair and CEO of Zing CU, Tessa Bonfante, commented, “Aux and InNetwork are in a great position to serve credit unions who need back-office support and shared branch services, especially in today’s competitive environment. Changes in leadership at critical times can sometimes make or break an organization. The Aux Board of Managers believe the best way to continue the great momentum at Aux and InNetwork was to appoint Diane as CEO upon Doug’s departure. Transitioning from one great leader to another will insure the CUSO’s success for years to come”.
