Navy Federal Credit Union Donates $100,000 Through Its Dollars for Doers Grant Program
Navy Federal Credit Union announced today it is donating $100,000 to local nonprofit organizations across the country through its Dollars for Doers grant program. A nomination-based program driven by employee engagement, the Dollars for Doers program awards 100 grants at $1,000 each to qualified nonprofits where employees volunteer their time.
The legacy program is in its 16th year and has surpassed over $1.6 million in total impact since its inception.
"Our team members deserve to be celebrated for their volunteer efforts and being a force for good," said Brandi Gomez, senior corporate social responsibility program manager at Navy Federal. "Dollars for Doers allows us to lean into the credit union’s philosophy of people helping people. Navy Federal supports employee volunteers and causes we care about across many communities through Dollars for Doers and paid volunteer leave benefits.”
A quarter of the grants were awarded to employees working at Navy Federal branches across the country serving Active Duty military, Veterans and their families. In addition to Dollars for Doers, the credit union also empowers employees to champion their communities by providing 8 hours of paid volunteer leave annually through its Operation: Give Back program. In 2022, employees served nearly 37,000 hours of paid volunteer leave.
