LAFCU announced a new CFO, Clearview Federal Credit Union has announced the 16th Annual Joseph C. Cirelli Community Service Award recipient and Spero Financial announced it’s CEO has been named as the Vice Chairman of the Carolinas Credit Union League Board of Directors.

New Hires

  • Affinity Federal Credit Union announces the addition of Tim Van Slooten as Vice President of Wealth Management. Tim will be responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, and resource stewardship of the credit union’s investment services program.

  • Redwood Credit Union has hired Brian Kreitzer as vice president of mortgage lending. Promotions

  • The Credit Union Association of New Mexico is pleased to announce the promotion of Rebecca Isaacs from her current role as Senior Director of Partnerships & Financial Empowerment to the position of Vice President of Partnerships & Development. “As VP, Rebecca will lead Association revenue generation and play a bigger role in fulfilling our mission to advance the success of New Mexico credit unions through advocacy, education and collaboration. In addition, Rebecca will lead our philanthropic endeavors through the Foundation. I am excited about what she brings to the position, our credit unions, and leadership in pursuit of the strategic vision of our Association and Foundation boards.”said Melia D. Heimbuck, Association President and CEO.

  • Workers Credit Union has promoted Kendra Uusitalo of Fitchburg to the role of Senior Vice President of Commercial and Small Business Lending. In her new role, she will engage new companies to partner with the credit union and grow relationships with existing business owners, assisting them with the right products and services needed to build their businesses.

  • GTE Financial Credit Union is happy to announce the promotion of long-time GTE team member, Marian Ringuette, to Assistant Vice President of Talent Acquisition.   • Unitus Community Credit Union announced the promotion of two assistant vice presidents as the organization realigned several internal teams. Both Char Sears and Megan Snyder will take on new duties in their vice president roles. Char Sears, who previously served as AVP of Member Experience, will now take on the role of Vice President of Member Experience and Product Management. In addition to Digital Experience, Systems and Design teams, the Business Intelligence and Product Management teams will report directly to Ms. Sears, as she helps lead the credit union’s strategic and innovative focus on the use of products and data.

Appointments

  • Spero Financial President and CEO Brian McKay has been named as the Vice Chairman of the Carolinas Credit Union League Board of Directors. “It’s been a pleasure serving alongside other credit union leaders on the Board since 2021. I look forward to continuing my work with the League, as we unite credit unions throughout the Carolinas to further the credit union movement in our communities,” shared McKay.

  • Spero Financial is proud to announce that Amber Crisp, VP of Remote Services, has earned her Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) designation. Crisp shared, “The Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) program was an immersive experience into the credit union difference, development issues, and empathy. Participating in the DE Program helped me gain insight into how our credit union can be leveraged to help our members and the communities we serve to overcome financial barriers and the development issues they face.”
