Nuvision Credit Union’s Annual NuvisionCares Holiday Toy Drive Delivers More Than 1,000 Toys and Gifts to Children and Families During the Holiday Season

As part of its long-standing commitment to local communities, Nuvision Credit Union held its annual NuvisionCares Holiday Toy Drive campaign during the month of December, brightening the Holiday Season for hundreds of children and families in the communities the credit union serves.

The NuvisionCares Toy Drive campaign delivered more than 1,150 toys to kids and families in California, Alaska and Wyoming, supporting efforts by a number of organizations including Toys for Tots in both California and Wyoming, as well as Anchorage Cops for Community, Fairbanks Santa’s Helpers, Mat-Su Special Santa in Wasilla, Family Promise of Juneau, and Operation Children’s First in Kenai, in Alaska.

All of the toys were donated by Nuvision Credit Union, its employees and members. During the drive, members were able to donate by either bringing new, unwrapped gifts to any of Nuvision’s 28 branches in California, Alaska and Wyoming or by donating online by ordering from the credit union’s Amazon Kids Wish Lists.

“Nuvision has a tremendous impact on our efforts each year and is one of our largest donators to Toys for Tots,” noted Marine Lieutenant Colonel Ken Graham (retired) and Toys for Tots representative. “Between their in- branch and online efforts to collect donations, they have helped make a real difference for the people and communities we help during the holidays each year.”

“The Nuvision Holiday Toy Drive helps elevate Anchorage Cops for Community’s Project Angel Tree by ensuring no child in the program is going without gifts on Christmas,” said Officer Sean Keating, Anchorage Police Department.

In addition to the NuvisionCares Toy Drive, the credit union also partnered with local police and firefighter organizations, including the Costa Mesa Police Department and Huntington Beach Police Department in California, and the Anchorage Police and Fire Departments in Alaska, to support Shop with A Hero and Shop with A Cop and Firefighter events. Nuvision donated toys and $14,000 to the shopping events, helping ensure children in those communities had a special experience with local heroes during the Holiday Season.

“Our NuvisionCares Toy Drive campaign is a wonderful example of multiple communities coming together to brighten the holidays for children in California, Alaska, and Wyoming” said Roger Ballard, CEO of Nuvision. “Our team, community partners, and members who donated to the drive were truly amazing. The generosity of our community is incredible, and we are excited to have helped make a difference in so many young lives and families this past holiday season,” concluded Ballard.
