Royal Credit Union Honored By Eau Claire City Council; 60th Anniversary Plans Announced
Royal Credit Union (Royal) is proud to announce its 60th anniversary milestone. Since its inception on April 14, 1964, Royal has been dedicated to serving its members and communities, and to acknowledge this remarkable journey, Royal is hosting a series of celebratory events throughout the year.
On April 9, The Eau Claire City Council presented Royal with a certificate of appreciation, recognizing its significant contributions to the community over the past six decades.
“On behalf of the entire City Council and the residents of Eau Claire, do express our pride, appreciation, and congratulations to Royal Credit Union staff members, past and present on your impressive 60-year history of devoted service to the Eau Claire community,” President of the Eau Claire City Council, Emily Berge, shared.
Royal Credit Union was started in Eau Claire, Wisconsin by employees of the Uniroyal Tire Company. In the first year, the credit union started with 100 Members. Today Royal is proud to hold over 300,000 members across Wisconsin and Minnesota. Royal’s enduring commitment to its members and communities can be seen through their support of small businesses and nonprofits and their dedication to providing free financial education to people of all ages.
Beginning April 15, special 60th anniversary stickers will be available at all Royal offices while supplies last. The celebrations will continue with monthly social media giveaways, and exclusive basket drawings will be held in each office in October.
On Saturday, October 12, Royal will be hosting a special community celebration to honor their Uniroyal roots. The celebration will take place from 12-3 p.m. at the Brewing Projekt in Eau Claire, WI and will feature music from The Whitesidewalls®, food trucks, giveaways, and more. There will also be a special reception preceding the event for former Uniroyal employees.
“Royal has been committed to creating a positive impact in the lives we touch for 60 years, and we look forward to celebrating this legacy of service and success” says Brandon Riechers, President and CEO of Royal. “As Royal embarks on its next chapter, we remain dedicated to providing exceptional financial services, supporting our members' financial well-being, and making a difference in the communities we serve.”
