SDCCU Biz Kid$ Summer Series Helps Kids and Teens Learn About Money and Business

Virtual SDCCU Biz Kid$ presentations will be held weekly on Wednesdays throughout July

San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is hosting a virtual SDCCU Biz Kid$ Summer Series to help engage kids during summer break. The series of presentations provides fun and interactive ways to learn about money and business. Topics include: My First Credit Card, Crash Course on Starting a Business and Are You Financially Literate? These Biz Kid$ webinars will be held weekly on Wednesdays throughout the month of July. To register, visit sdccu.com/fww.

“Financial education is a critical component of overall education, and summer break offers an excellent opportunity for parents to introduce the basics of business and finances to their kids,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell. “We are excited to bring the SDCCU Biz Kid$ Summer Series to the community this year to help students get a head start on building a successful financial future.”

SDCCU launched the program in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education and the County of San Diego in support of Live Well San Diego in 2015. Biz Kid$ is an award-winning, comprehensive financial literacy program focused on teaching kids how to use credit wisely and about the importance of saving, budgeting, investing and giving back to their communities. The Biz Kid$ program and all episodes are based on national financial literacy and entrepreneurship education standards and mapped to individual state standards.
