Whitefish Credit Union Breaks Ground on New Branch in Missoula
Whitefish Credit Union is pleased to announce the recent groundbreaking of its newest branch in Missoula, marking the credit union’s first location in the city. This significant milestone represents a key step in Whitefish Credit Union's ongoing commitment to expanding its reach and providing exceptional financial services to communities across Montana.
The new branch, which is set to be completed in 2025, demonstrates Whitefish Credit Union's dedication to sustainability and community support. The original building on the site was carefully deconstructed by Waste Less Works, a local company known for its innovative approach to reusing building materials. This collaboration ensures that valuable resources are diverted from landfills and repurposed for future projects throughout Montana.
Cushing Terrell, the architectural firm, has been commissioned to design the state-of-the-art facility. Martel Construction, a leading construction company, will bring the design to life, ensuring that the branch meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
In addition to offering a full range of financial services, the new Missoula branch will also house operations and technical support for all Whitefish Credit Union branches. This expansion is expected to create approximately two dozen new positions, providing valuable job opportunities and contributing to the economic growth of the Missoula community.
"We are excited to break ground on our new branch in Missoula and bring our trusted financial services closer to Montanans in this vibrant community," said James Kenyon, CEO at Whitefish Credit Union. "Our collaboration with Waste Less Works, Cushing Terrell, and Martel Construction underscores our commitment to sustainability and community development. We look forward to serving the Missoula community and contributing to its growth and prosperity."
