Addition Financial Credit Union Launches Co-Branded Debit Card to Support Volusia County Schools

Addition Financial Credit Union is welcoming Volusia County Schools to its popular School District Debit Card Program, with the launch of a co-branded Volusia County card that will support schools in the district. With the partnership, students, faculty, staff, and residents across Volusia County will have the opportunity to actively contribute to their local school district with every transaction they make.

Under the School District Debit Card Program, Addition Financial pledges to donate 3 cents back to Volusia County Schools for every transaction made. Volusia County Schools becomes the fourth Central Florida school district to participate in the program since it began in 2009.

“Educators founded Addition Financial 87 years ago, and we are proud to honor our commitment to supporting students, alongside tremendous partners like Volusia County Schools.” said Kevin Miller, President and CEO of Addition Financial Credit Union. “The school district debit card program is an easy, yet significant way members of our credit union can help us give back to local education.”

Leaders in Volusia County have expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership, and the positive impact it will have for students and the school district.

“Volusia County Schools is appreciative of our partnership with Addition Financial Credit Union and excited about the debut of the VCS debit card for our community,” said Dr. Carmen Balgobin, Superintendent of Volusia County Schools. “This opportunity will help support programs across the district to enhance student achievement. It is through partners such as Addition Financial that we excel as a school district and the community.

Addition Financial donated $103,071 through the program in 2023 to Orange County Public Schools, Seminole County Public Schools, and the School District of Osceola County.
