Addition Financial Credit Union Partners with Orange Technical College to Provide Support, Financial Education

Addition Financial Credit Union announced a new partnership with Orange Technical College, Central Florida’s premier technical education provider, supporting the school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The collaboration deepens Addition Financial’s long relationship with Orange County Public Schools as the school’s preferred credit union and bolsters their commitment to supporting education and fostering community growth.

As part of this partnership, Addition Financial will support students enrolled in career-focused tracks, including manufacturing/automotive, nursing/healthcare, and beauty/esthetician programs. The credit union will provide comprehensive financial education workshops designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage their finances effectively as they prepare for high-paying careers.

“We are thrilled to partner with Orange Technical College and support students in their pursuit of technical education,” said Richard Barbari, Manager of Community Engagement and Partnerships at Addition Financial Credit Union. “Addition Financial has enjoyed a long relationship with Orange County Public Schools over the years, and we are excited to build from that foundation and continue to invest in the future workforce of our community.”

Addition Financial will support students across all seven OTC campuses and offer financial education workshops that will cover topics from budgeting to credit management, providing students with a strong foundation for financial success. The support from the credit union extends to the School District Debit Card Program, in which Addition Financial will now donate 3 cents from every transaction on the signature Orange Technical College debit cards back to CTE programs in the district.

“This partnership with Addition Financial is a testament to their commitment to providing real-world opportunities and experiences for our students,” said Dr. Rosa Grant, the Executive Leader for Orange Technical College. “Addition’s involvement, which will include financial literacy presentations and support for student events will significantly enhance student engagement. Together, we look forward to empowering out students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their chosen fields.

Orange Technical College, established in 1933, opened its seventh campus in May 2024 in the heart of historic Eatonville and has a yearly enrollment of more than 60,000 students.
