Affinity Federal Credit Union Announces the Inaugural Wellbeing Awards

The new awards program will highlight New Jerseyans who exemplify excellence in financial, community, and physical wellbeing

Affinity Federal Credit Union (“Affinity”) has announced that 2024 is the inaugural year for the Affinity Wellbeing Awards, a new awards program that will highlight individuals and organizations in New Jersey that display excellence in three critical aspects of wellbeing: financial, community and physical. Affinity is a member-based, federally insured, full-service financial institution with a mission of improving the overall wellbeing of its members and the communities it serves.

The awards will celebrate and encourage efforts that positively impact the wellbeing of New Jersey communities. New Jersey-based leaders and organizations are invited to nominate individuals or groups that have demonstrated innovative programming or resources contributing significantly to one of the three wellbeing categories of financial, community and physical. The criteria for selection will emphasize impact, innovation, and commitment to improving the wellbeing of the community or individuals served. The awards aim to promote the spirit of resilience and wellness, aligning with Affinity’s commitment to supporting its members and the wider community.

"The concept of wellbeing is central to the fabric of Affinity,” said Kevin Brauer, CEO of Affinity. “We have seen our commitment to wellbeing reflected by other individuals and organizations across our home state, and we strive to recognize those who are making a real difference in our community as a result of their wellbeing efforts. We are eager to celebrate the achievements of our nominees and continue to foster a spirit of wellbeing throughout New Jersey."

The nomination period for the Affinity Wellbeing Awards is Feb. 1-29, 2024. Category finalists and winners will be announced in April 2024.

Affinity is partnering with global analytics and advisory firm, Gallup, and leading New Jersey academic medical center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, on the program.
