Affinity Foundation to Host Inaugural Rise and Inspire Gala on Oct. 13

The Affinity Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the financial wellbeing, increasing educational opportunities and access to healthcare for individuals throughout the tri-state area, is pleased to announce its Rise and Inspire Gala on October 13, 2022, at the Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, NJ.

The Rise and Inspire Gala, a celebration of empowerment, will raise essential funds for the Foundation’s programs including community grants, student scholarships and member relief fund. In its inaugural year, the Foundation is proud to announce its first honorees: Bob Scott of Greenwood Products will be presented with the 2022 Founder’s Award, and Grant Gallagher of Affinity Federal Credit Union will be presented with the 2022 Community Spirit Award.

“In New Jersey, nearly 1/3 of residents are struggling to make ends meet: 800,000 are food insecure, and 200,000 are children living in poverty. We are excited for the opportunity to raise more funds through the Gala to help community members break the cycle of poverty,” said Karla Wallack, Executive Director of the Foundation.

Attendees of the Rise and Inspire Gala will hear directly from keynote speaker and best-selling author Liz Murray whose story is depicted in Emmy-nominated Lifetime movie, Homeless to Harvard. The Gala will also feature a silent auction, cash raffle and wine pull.

Sponsorship packages, tickets and digital ads can be purchased at https://one.bidpal.net/riseandinspire2022/. If you have any questions about the Gala, please contact the Foundation at afcu_foundation@affinityfcu.com.
