Aiming for Miracles, APCU Foundation Teamed Up To Raise Funds for Local Causes

The APCU Foundation, the philanthropic arm of APCU/Center Parc Credit Union, partnered with the Associated Credit Union Foundation to host a clay-shooting fundraiser “We’re Aiming for Miracles: A Collaboration of Generosity” on May 16 and 17. The two foundations held this special fundraising event to promote social, educational and economic well-being in their communities. The meaningful event took place at The Burge Club, a charming and historic 1,000-acre farm in eastern Newton County, Georgia.

In all, the collaborative effort was a tremendous success, raising more than $100,000 in donations and sponsorships. These proceeds will benefit the foundations’ partner charities, which include Atlanta Community Food Bank, Child Enrichment, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, CHOG, Dawson County Family Connection, Feeding the Valley Food Bank, Junior Achievement of Georgia, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Meals on Wheels, Neighborhood Co-op Ministries, The Miracle League, The Quinn House, and Wilderness Works.

The Aiming for Miracles sponsors included Credit Union Loan Source, which served as the event’s High House Miracle Sponsor; TOKN as the Low House Sponsor; TruStage, CU Carfinders and McGriff Insurance as the evening’s Dinner Sponsor; The Redmond Company, Allied Solutions and Drummond as the Breakfast & Lunch Sponsor; M2 The Agency, Datamatx, Excess Share Insurance, Delta Community Credit Union, LGE Community Credit Union, Southern Investments, LLC, Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union, NCR, Georgia's Own Credit Union, Raymond James, Enterprise Mobility Foundation, Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC and JMFA as Stand and Beverage Sponsors; LEVERAGE, LendKey, CU Lending Advice, Refi Jet, Strategic Arts & Sciences and Clutch as Shotgun Sponsors; Cliff Hagan, Gabriel Krajicek, Delux Corporation and Patriot Officer who provided donations and in-kind gifts for the event.

APCU/Center Parc President & CEO Blake Graham lauded the event as a meaningful strategy for pursuing the foundation’s mission. “Our foundation strives to serve as ‘people helping people,’” he said. “This event was a fantastic way to both bring people together in an inspiring way and to accomplish life-changing things for others. We are thrilled by the results and look forward to seeing how we will put those funds to great use through our partner charities.”

Mark Waller, Associated Credit Union’s, Chief Operating Officer / Executive Vice President shared similar sentiments, “At the event, I saw dozens of individuals gathered for a common goal - to raise money and awareness about critical needs in our community. The Aiming for Miracles fundraiser allowed like-minded organizations to identify the problem, then contribute to the solution. This partnership with APCU showcases what can be achieved through collaboration and extraordinary generosity. We look forward to making a greater impact in our community for years to come.
