American Eagle Financial Credit Union announced today that in honor of Women's History Month, they have donated a total of $2,000 to two local organizations that go above and beyond to support women in Connecticut.

The first donation of $1,000 was given to Interval House. Interval House is the largest agency in the state of Connecticut dedicated to ending domestic violence. Supporting over 6,500 victims per year through a dedicated hotline and a 24-bed emergency safe house, legal and financial guidance and other services all at no cost. Interval House partners with community programs to encourage victims to pursue higher education and get career help to create safe, self-sufficient lives.

The second donation of $1,000 was given to Dress for Success Hartford, the local chapter of Dress for Success, which is a global organization with a mission to offer long-lasting solutions to enable women to break the cycle of poverty. Through a global movement for change, Dress for Success empowers women every day and has served more than 8,600 women in the greater Hartford area. The organization has developed partnerships to advance its work by supporting women through referral agencies, educational opportunities and providing a boutique making professional clothes accessible to women.

“We are proud to support these two organizations that are doing such important work to empower women in our community,” said Howard Brady, President & CEO of American Eagle Financial Credit Union. “At American Eagle, we believe in the power of all women and are committed to supporting their success.”

The donations were made possible through American Eagle's Community Giving Program, which provides funding to organizations that are making a positive impact in the community.
