American Eagle Financial Credit Union Supports Mental Health Awareness Month with $1,500 Donation to the National Alliance for Mental Illness Connecticut

American Eagle Financial Credit Union marked the close of Mental Health Awareness Month by donating $1,500 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness Connecticut (NAMI CT). The donation is part of the credit union’s ongoing commitment to mental health advocacy and support for individuals and families affected by mental illness.

In addition to the donation, American Eagle Financial Credit Union offers a range of wellness programs throughout the year to their team members to promote mental well-being. These programs have included dog therapy sessions, knitting groups, fun runs and workshops aimed at providing individuals with the tools and resources they need to prioritize their mental health.

“We believe that mental health is a crucial component of overall well-being, and we are dedicated to fostering a supportive and healthy environment for our team members,” said American Eagle Financial Credit Union President & CEO Howard Brady. “Our partnership with NAMI and our wellness programs reflect our commitment to raising awareness and providing tangible support for mental health initiatives.”

The dog therapy session provided a therapeutic environment for individuals to interact with trained therapy dogs, promoting relaxation. The knitting group offered a creative and communal space for individuals to engage in a calming activity. The corporate fun run was a way for team members to have fun while they exercised because a healthy body is connected to a healthy mind. Additionally, the informational workshops covered various topics related to mental health, providing insights and resources.

American Eagle’s dedication to mental health awareness supports its mission to empower individuals to prioritize their financial well-being and seek the assistance they need for the freedom to soar.
