American Heritage Credit Union Reaches $5 Billion in Assets

American Heritage Credit Union reaches a historic milestone thanks to the commitment to its members and communities that it serves

American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) recently achieved a major accomplishment in its history, specifically within its asset growth milestone.

At the end of December 2024, American Heritage achieved $5 billion in assets. Formed in 1948 as the Budd Workers Federal Credit Union, the original American Heritage branch was on Hunting Park Avenue in North Philadelphia. Today, American Heritage has more than 35 locations across Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery and Camden Counties, over 300,000 members and serves more than 800 Workplace Partners throughout the region.

“When we were founded, our mission was clear, to serve every member in the Philadelphia area, regardless of who they are or where they live,” said Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union. “Reaching $5 billion in assets and growing to 300,000 members reflects the strength of that original commitment. Today, we’re proud to serve a membership that embodies the incredible diversity of our community.”

“Our goal has always been to provide the right financial solutions to our members because they are family,” Foulke continued. “It started with our first members at the Budd Manufacturing Company plant, who came together to pool their resources and improve each other’s lives. That spirit of family and ‘people helping people’ remains at the heart of everything we do, now shared by our 300,000 members, Workplace Partners, and community partners.”
