American-Statesman Deems Greater Texas Credit Union a Top Workplace in Austin

Greater Texas Credit Union took home its ninth Top Workplace honors from the Austin American-Statesman. The top workplace designation is based on results from an in-depth independent third-party evaluation that surveyed the credit union’s employees. Results were then compared to employee surveys of other participating Austin-based companies to determine the Top Workplaces.

More than 62,000 employees were surveyed, representing 197 Austin employers. Companies ranged from small businesses and start-up organizations to large employers with more than 500 local employees. Greater Texas has 151 Austin-area employees.

Ken Gardner (AVP, HR), Howard Baker (President & CEO); Molly Daniels (SVP - Chief HR Officer); and Angelica Fierro (Senior HR Generalist) accepted the Top Workplace Award from the Austin American-Statesman.

“Our employees are what makes Greater Texas a top place to work,” said Howard Baker, President and CEO of Greater Texas Credit Union. “We are humbled and honored to receive this kind of accolades from our employees, especially when you consider all of the great employers in Austin.”

Baker added, “We have a tremendous culture and are dedicated to including every employee in opportunities to expand their skills and advance their careers. We have numerous employees who have been part of this team for more than 20 years, which is a testament to creating a workplace where employees want to be.”
