APL FCU Chooses PSCU for Card Processing and Contact Center Support

PSCU announced that APL Federal Credit Union (APL FCU) has chosen the CUSO to provide credit and debit card processing services and contact center support.

Formed in 1954 to serve the workforce of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, APL FCU has since grown to serve approximately 30,000 members who live, work, regularly conduct business or attend school in Howard County, Maryland. The credit union is committed to improving the financial lives of its members and making a positive impact in the community by supporting local charities and community civic, educational and human service organizations.

With assets totaling more than $630 million, APL FCU conducted a rigorous evaluation process to identify a solutions provider with the right portfolio of services and a shared focus on delivering exceptional member experiences. The credit union prioritized enhancing contact center interactions alongside industry-leading credit and debit card features and functionality. After carefully considering potential providers, APL FCU selected PSCU as its ideal partner.

“We are pleased to collaborate with PSCU, known among credit unions for its trustworthiness and technological innovations, to offer our members this enhanced card program,” said Kevin Marvel, vice president, marketing and communications at APL FCU. “By integrating contact center support and card services, this new partnership positions APL FCU to deliver seamless assistance for card activations when the program launches later this year, producing an added benefit for our employees and members.”

Beginning later this month, PSCU will provide contact center support to APL FCU. The credit union plans to launch its new card program in September 2023.

“It is an honor to welcome APL FCU to the cooperative,” said Scott Wagner, EVP, chief revenue officer at PSCU. “We look forward to working closely together, leveraging PSCU’s leading-edge solutions to deliver highly functional, reliable and secure programs that will help facilitate seamless experiences and best-in-class service for the credit union’s valued members.”
