BHFCU Celebrates Second Billings Location by Giving $5,000 to Local Charity

Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) celebrated the grand opening of its second Billings location by donating $5,000 to Billings Family Service.

BHFCU celebrated the grand opening of their Billings Shiloh location in June with a week-long celebration, including a community-giving component. Members and area residents were encouraged to visit the new location to enter to win $500 cash plus the opportunity to select a charity to receive a $5,000 donation.

“We are so grateful for our members and excited to better serve them as we expand our presence in the community,” said Tyson Taylor, VP Mountain Market. “When planning our grand opening, we wanted to incorporate an opportunity for an individual to direct and help us positively impact our community.”

The week’s grand prize winner selected Billings Family Service to receive the $5,000 donation. This significant contribution will enable Family Service to continue its vital work, assisting individuals and families facing hunger, homelessness, and poverty in Yellowstone County and surrounding areas for over a century. Their programs include food assistance, education for better employment, rent and utilities support, and a thrift store full of gently used clothing.

The Billings Shiloh branch, BHFCU’s second location in Montana and 20th overall, offers extended service hours through its drive-up lanes. Members can work directly with BHFCU tellers Monday through Friday, 7 am – 7 pm, and Saturday, 8 am – 1 pm, providing a convenient and accessible banking experience.

BHFCU supports community needs through corporate contributions, employee fundraisers, and donations from supporters to the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
