Burnham Receives William O. Knight Scholarship
Myles Burnham, Executive Vice President at Aspen Federal Credit Union (Rapid City, SD) was recently awarded the William O. Knight Jr. Memorial Scholarship by the Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU). Burnham has been a staff member of Aspen FCU for 15 years; in his current role, he manages the day-to-day operations of the credit union and serves as lead contact on many credit union projects, in addition to overseeing vendor relationships and IT management.
With several other leadership training courses on his resume, including the Alloya Corporate Emerging Leaders Program, DakCU’s iLead@11 Emerging Leader Program, and Kasasa Leadership Certification, Burnham is an excellent candidate for Management School in anticipation of his increasing responsibilities at the credit union.
The William O. Knight Jr. Scholarship was established in 1964 in honor of the longtime director of the South Dakota Credit Union League. The award provides for the registration fee to attend Management School to attain the distinguished Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation. The credit union-focused Management School was founded in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin, Madison, to help the industry develop their leaders and future leaders to their fullest potential. Graduation from the three-year program is recognized throughout the credit union movement as a high honor and mark of accomplishment.
