New Hires

  • Financial Center has hired Chris Sibila as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services space, Sibila brings expertise in digital solutions, technology, product management, payments, data analytics, information security, fraud prevention, and operations to the Indianapolis-based credit union.

Promotions

  • UMassFive College Federal Credit Union is excited to announce Shelby Downey in her role as Cash Management Specialist, as part of the Credit Union’s growing Commercial Services team. Shelby started her career at UMassFive in 2020 as a Member Service Specialist at the Credit Union’s Hadley Branch, eventually becoming a Lead Member Service Specialist in the Northampton Branch. Within her new position, Shelby will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Services team in building out a suite of cash management products, along with developing business community awareness.

  • SafeAmerica Credit Union has promoted Pablo Cornejo to the position of VP & Chief Retail Officer. Cornejo has been with SafeAmerica for 23 years and started his career as a part-time teller. Throughout the years, Cornejo proved his professional abilities and earned multiple promotions as Branch Manager at SafeAmerica. Cornejo’s success was recognized and resulted with a promotion as Regional Branch Manager which paved the way for his transition to VP & Chief Retail Officer of the credit union.

Appointments

  • President and new Chief Executive Officer Faye Nabhani  of SAFE Credit Union announced a reorganization effort expanding SAFE's senior executive team to include a Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and a Chief Experience Officer (CXO). Nabhani says the changes, which took effect Jan. 1, 2023, mirror SAFE's goals to elevate the delivery and value of its financial services to its members.

  • After a 93% member vote in favor of the Cornerstone League-Heartland Credit Union Association merger, the Cornerstone League board of directors has expanded to accommodate directors from Kansas and Missouri. The updated roster includes the following:

    · Judy Hadsall, Multipli Credit Union

    · Brenda Kliewer, McPherson Co-op Credit Union

    · Bob Mayes, Mainstreet Credit Union

    · Bob McKay, Together Credit Union

    · Jay Neathery, United Consumers Credit Union

  • Mark Fierro, Chief Executive Officer at eDOC Innovations Inc., announced today that Karl Johnson has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the multi-owned CUSO. Karl joined eDOC over 20 years ago as an Implementation Specialist and progressed through multiple roles in the CUSO. Since July 2017 he served as Vice President of Client Operations & QC where he led the Client Support, Implementations and Quality Control teams.
