  • Corporate One Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the election of Charles Harkness, VP, Office of Portfolio Project Management, to the Federal Reserve System’s Faster Payments Governance Framework Formation Team. “As partner to more than 1,600 financial institutions in 49 U.S. states and territories and as a payments expert, it is a strategic imperative for Corporate One to participate in, help outline and deliver world class faster payments solutions here in the United States, and we proudly do so representing the credit union network,” said Corporate One President/CEO Lee Butke. “We are very pleased that Charles is our representative and is able to continue his work with the Faster Payments Task Force as a member of the GFFT.”

Promotions

  • GTE Financial, Tampa’s premier not-for-profit credit union, is pleased to announce the promotion of Gerhard Toth to Vice President of Business Banking. Toth quickly worked his way up after his first year at the credit union from Business Banking Manager to Vice President. “Gerhard has shown outstanding leadership and knowledge within our business banking division,” comments Manny Aguilar, Senior Vice President of Commercial and Advisory Services. “He continues to quickly and efficiently deliver innovative lending solutions to local businesses across Tampa Bay while taking the time to learn and connect with our members.”

Awards and Recognitions

  • Corporate Counsel has awarded Angela Jeffers with the Women, Influence & Power in Law Award for the category of Collaborative Leadership. Angela is the senior VP, general counsel for Patelco Credit Union, a Bay Area-based credit union dedicated to the financial wellness of its members and communities. 

  • INOVA Federal is pleased to announce that CEO Dallas Bergl is the 2022 recipient of the Indiana Credit Union League’s “Chairman’s Global Good Award”. The award was established by the League Board to recognize involvement in global or domestic projects that further credit unions and their values with immigrant populations or in foreign countries. A key component of Dallas’s selection as this year’s recipient is due to his leadership and service on the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) Board as well as on the board of its foundation
