Centra Credit Union Receives Juntos Avanzamos Designation

Centra Credit Union recently earned the prestigious Juntos Avanzamos designation, meaning “Together we advance,” from Inclusiv. This designation is awarded to credit unions who are committed to serving unbanked or underbanked Spanish-speaking consumers.

“I’m incredibly proud of our organization for receiving this designation as it truly shows Centra’s commitment to serving the financial needs of the Hispanic/Latino community within our footprint,” Centra President and CEO Rick Silvers said. “This designation is a stepping stone for us as we continue to expand our services as a trusted financial institution to individuals of all backgrounds.”

Centra is only the fourth credit union in the state of Indiana to receive this designation from Inclusiv. Today, the Juntos Avanzamos network includes more than 134 credit unions across 28 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.

"Working with the Latino community, I appreciate the huge responsibility they see in creating a better future for those that come after them,” Centra Senior Vice President Financial Inclusion Carma Parrish said. “Their work ethic, their spirit and their determination are impressive. It's imperative that we match those efforts in providing the best financial products and services. Imagine the possibilities when together we advance."

Centra looks forward to continuing the expansion of their reach to not only Spanishspeaking and immigrant consumers, but consumers of all backgrounds who are seeking a financial institution they can trust with their hard-earned money.
