Credit Unions Announce New Hires and Promotions, and Corporate Central Marketing Strategist Earns Digital Marketing Certifications

Several credit unions have announced changes to their leadership teams, and Corporate Central Credit Union announced that one of their marketing strategists earned prestigious digital marketing certifications.

New Hires

  • Member Driven Technologies (MDT) announced the appointment of Bill Illis as its new VP of technical operations. Bill brings over 20 years of leadership and large enterprise experience, having served in a director role with the Defense Health Agency. He is a returning team member to MDT; Bill previously served as an IT project manager for the CUSO, helping lead core conversion projects, merger data conversions projects and ancillary product implementations for credit union clients. In his new role, Bill will be responsible for leading MDT’s technical infrastructure team, ensuring systems, processes and teams work together to deliver a high standard of operational excellence.

  • Robins Financial Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Twany Edwards to the position of Accounting Manager. Most recently, Edwards served as the Director of Finance for the City of Americus, Georgia, where she was responsible for overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic planning. Before moving into government finance, Edwards worked as a Senior Tax Accountant with Executive Tax & Consulting, where she developed a foundation in tax strategy and compliance. This combination of public sector financial leadership and private sector expertise has given Edwards a unique perspective on managing complex financial systems.

  • Robins Financial Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Candace Johnson to the position of Contact Center Manager. With over 20 years of leadership experience in customer service, team development and call center management, Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role. In her previous position with AT&T, Johnson traveled the country, developing and training teams in effective conversational skills and leadership techniques. 

  • People’s Credit Union announced the appointment of Terri L. Raymond as Head of Retail. Reporting to the Head of Member Delivery and Marketing, Ms. Raymond will be responsible for planning, directing, and administering all retail operations-related initiatives and strategies, including the oversight of six branch offices and the member service center. “With more than two decades of leadership experience in retail financial services, Terri is well-positioned to help us achieve our member experience goals,” said Bill DeWitt, Head of Member Delivery & Marketing. “In particular, her background developing and coaching teams will be an invaluable asset for our retail team as they continue to build and strengthen their relationships with our members.”

Recognitions

  • Corporate Central is proud to announce that Orianna Valentine, CCUFC, CDMP, aPCM®, Marketing Strategist, has earned dual certifications in digital marketing: the Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) from the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) and the Associate Professional Certified Marketer® (aPCM®) in Digital Marketing from the American Marketing Association (AMA). These certifications are a testament to her commitment to staying at the forefront of digital marketing advancements and reflect Corporate Central’s dedication to continuous professional development.

Promotions

  • Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) announces the promotions of Gary Prager to executive vice president, chief strategy and growth officer, and Shane Hoyle to executive vice president, chief operating officer. The promotions will strengthen SCCU while positioning the organization for continued growth. “Gary’s and Shane’s unwavering commitment to excellence and their impressive track record made their promotions an obvious choice as we continue our growth across the state,” said Timothy M.   • OnPoint Community Credit Union has expanded its leadership team with the promotion of two local branch managers to Assistant Vice President/Area Managers of two growing regions. Dayne Sorensen, who previously served as manager of OnPoint's Coburg Road branch, was named Assistant Vice President/Area Manager for the Mid-Willamette Valley. Michelle Loftsgard, who previously served as manager of OnPoint's Bend South branch, was named Assistant Vice President/Area Manager of Central Oregon. These promotions will allow OnPoint to align its resources, provide more focused and enhanced sales and service execution across its key markets, and position OnPoint for additional growth in these regions. 

Appointments

  • Peoples Credit Union recently elected several members to the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee. Frank Newsome was appointed for a 2-year term (2023-2025), John Trifero was appointed to a 3-year term (2024-2027), Timothy J. DelGiudice was appointed for a 3-year term (2024-2027) and Steven Kozlowski, Ph.D., will serve a 1-year term (2024-2025). The membership also re-elected Edward Lopes, Jr. to a 3-year term on the Board of Directors and Michelle Freitas, CPA, to a three-year term on the Supervisory Committee.
