Discovery Federal Credit Union Hosts Coat Drive to Support Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge and Naaman

Discovery Federal Credit Union is proud to announce a successful coat drive in support of Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge (PAATC) and Naaman, organizations dedicated to providing comprehensive substance use disorder treatment programs. The drive aimed to collect warm coats to help clients of these programs stay comfortable during their recovery journey, many of whom arrive at the facilities with few or no personal belongings.

The coats collected will support individuals at PAATC’s campuses in Rehrersburg, PA, and Western Pennsylvania, where the programs are known for their highly regarded residential treatment services. Rosemarie Sullivan Sandman, Advancement Coordinator of PAATC, expressed her gratitude, saying, “We truly appreciate what you and your team have done to help our clients stay warm.”

Discovery Federal Credit Union members and staff showed overwhelming support, embodying the credit union’s commitment to the principle of “People Helping People.” Michele Smith, President/CEO of Discovery Federal Credit Union, shared her appreciation, “This coat drive is a wonderful reflection of our mission to serve and uplift our community. It’s heartwarming to see the generosity of our members and staff coming together to support individuals on their recovery journey. We thank everyone who contributed to making this effort a success.”

Discovery Federal Credit Union invites the community to continue supporting meaningful initiatives like this, helping to create positive change in the lives of those who need it most. This December the credit union will be hosting an Angel Tree Gift Drive in support of families at Opportunity House. Everyone is invited to stop by the branch, located at 2744 Century Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610, for a tag starting November 22.
