Downeast CU Partners with Synergent to Host Jack Henry’s Symitar Core Processing Solution

Synergent also will deliver additional integrated solutions to Downeast Credit Union

Synergent® is pleased to announce that Downeast Credit Union has signed a ten-year agreement with Synergent for hosted Jack Henry™ Symitar® core processing, Banno Digital Banking™, and iPay Consumer Bill Pay.

The Symitar platform provided by Synergent is the ideal source of technology that will help us achieve our ambitious goals of expanding our credit union's member base in our local areas. And we’re very happy to be working with a company owned by credit unions.”

In addition to Jack Henry’s solutions, Downeast Credit Union also signed a ten-year agreement for Synergent’s integrated credit and debit card services along with check processing, statement processing, and WyCom laser check printing.

Downeast Credit Union, headquartered in Baileyville, Maine, has over 22,000 members and over $ 284 million in assets. Its field of membership includes individuals who live or work in any one of the following 8 counties: Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Penobscot, Sagadahoc, Waldo and Washington, as well as the towns of Brunswick and Harpswell in Cumberland County. Organizations originating from these individuals are also eligible to join.
