Everwise Appoints Lyndsay H. Miller as Chief Legal + Risk Officer

Everwise Credit Union is pleased to announce that Lyndsay H. Miller has been named to the newly created role of Chief Legal + Risk Officer. Miller assumed her new position earlier this month. In her role, Miller will lead the organization’s overall corporate legal function, compliance, and enterprise-wide risk management.

Miller brings to Everwise 20 years of experience as an attorney in the financial services industry, including invaluable work with credit unions and regulatory organizations. Most recently, she served as Assistant General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Federal Home Loan Bank in Indianapolis. In this position, Miller supported the FHLBI’s board of directors in all matters, she provided general legal counsel to the bank, and managed key regulatory filings including for the SEC.

Previously, Miller served as the Deputy Director of the Consumer Credit Division at the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions where she administered Indiana’s Uniform Consumer Credit Code. She also served as General Counsel for the state banking regulator. Even earlier, she served as Associate General Counsel, Compliance for the Minnesota Credit Union Network, and as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation. Additionally, Miller worked in private practice representing community financial institutions early in her legal career.

Miller holds a Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, Bloomington. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. Miller and her family live in the Indianapolis area.
