First Alliance Credit Union Selects Brent Rempe as President/CEO
The Board of Directors of First Alliance Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Brent Rempe as the credit union’s next President/Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Rempe will succeed Mike Rosek who is retiring after serving in the role for 6 years.
“Even with a group of highly qualified candidates, Brent still stood out as the best choice for our next President/CEO,” said Theresa Hornberg, Board Chair. “The Board was unanimous in our agreement that Brent’s strategic, purpose-driven approach will propel First Alliance to the next level of success.”
“I am excited to join the passionate and talented First Alliance team,” said Rempe. “Mike Rosek, the Board, and the team have built a purpose-driven organization that strives to fulfill the credit union difference by serving the entire community. I look forward to being part of First Alliance’s next chapter as we continue to create an impact in the lives of Southeast Minnesotans.”
Rempe has worked in the credit union space for almost 10 years. He began his credit union career at Weokie Federal Credit Union as the Director of Education. He later moved into the role of AVP of Credit Union Development and went on to work at CUNA Mutual Group as a Client Strategist. In his most recent role, he served as the Chief Lending Officer at Allegiance Credit Union where he revamped the entire organization structure to better serve its members. Rempe holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University and two postgraduate degrees: A master’s degree in organizational dynamics from the University of Oklahoma, and a master’s degree in economics and entrepreneurship for educators from the University of Delaware. Rempe is also a Certified Credit Union Investment Professional (CCUIP), Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC), and a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE).
“As we look to the future, we also appreciate the past and thank our current CEO, Mike Rosek, for his many contributions. Under his leadership, we grew from a $173 million credit union to a nearly $300 million credit union, poised for great future success,” said Hornberg.
