FMFCU Foundation to Award Scholarships

Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Foundation is now accepting applications for two prestigious scholarship programs: the John D. Unangst Memorial Scholarship and the newly established Bridge to Success Scholarship, specifically for Chester Upland High School students.

Key Highlights of the John D. Unangst Memorial Scholarship:

·         Scholarship Amount: High school seniors have the opportunity to apply for one of five (5) scholarships, each valued at $3,000.

·         Eligibility: This scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning.

·         Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted by January 15, 2024.

·         Application Process: Detailed instructions and the application form can be accessed at fmfcufoundation.org/awards.

·         Selection Process: Applications will be reviewed and selected anonymously by a panel of esteemed educators.

Bridge to Success Scholarship for Chester Upland High School Students:

In addition to the John D. Unangst Memorial Scholarship, the FMFCU Foundation is introducing the Bridge to Success Scholarship, tailored specifically for students from Chester Upland High School. This scholarship aims to provide educational opportunities and support to students within the Chester Upland School District.

Key Highlights of the Bridge to Success Scholarship:

·         Scholarship Amount: One $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student from a Chester Upland High School.

·         Eligibility: This scholarship is exclusively for Chester Upland High School students who plan to pursue higher education.

Eligibility for the scholarship includes attendance at the annual FMFCU Foundation Celebration, scheduled for Thursday, April 25, 2024, at The Drexelbrook, Drexel Hill PA. During this event, scholarship recipients will be recognized alongside Excellence in Teaching awardees, Delco Hi-Q champions, Community Nonprofit Champion, and other distinguished honorees.
