Four Credit Unions Announce New Hires and People’s Credit Union Recognized Rising Star

Corporate Central Credit Union, UMassFive College Federal Credit Union, and others announced new hires, and People’s Credit Union announced that one of their employees was presented the 2024 Rising Star Award.

New Hires

Corporate Central is pleased to announce the appointment of Prabhakar Konduru as Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer. In this pivotal role, Konduru will oversee the intricate engineering of the robust cloud infrastructure that supports the credit union’s platform, Beastro, ensuring it continues to meet the rapidly evolving needs of credit union members. He will closely collaborate with both the IT and development teams.

UMassFive College Federal Credit Union (UMassFive) is excited to announce Hilary Barnard in her new role as Human Resources Manager. Hilary comes to UMassFive with over 15 years of invaluable leadership experience. Her recent roles include serving as the HR Director in both the healthcare and property management sectors, and previously excelling as the Store Director for a large retail chain. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in eLearning and Instructional Design from Northeastern University. Additionally, she holds SHRM-CP credentials, showcasing her commitment to excellence as a Certified Professional recognized by the Society of Human Resources Management. In her new position, Hilary is responsible for supporting a variety of Human Resource operations and initiatives. This includes supporting the recruiting process, recognition programs, training and development, and a variety of other projects.

LAFCU has hired Stephen (Steve) Schmitt as corporate strategist, a newly created role for the Michigan credit union. Schmitt is no stranger to LAFCU. As a consultant, he previously advised its board of directors and executive leadership team on strategic planning and how to systematically optimize its operations and IT systems. His extensive knowledge of LAFCU and its membership will enable him to make an even more significant impact in his new role.

Financial Center is excited to announce the addition of a new position to its Employee Operations Team. Laura Birkenbeul has joined the organization as Vice President of Talent Development & Training. This role is centered around supporting the Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to building a vibrant organizational culture, focused on continuous learning and development.

Recognitions

People’s Credit Union announced that Tiffany Costa, Head of Digital Delivery and Deposit Services, has been chosen by the New England Automated Clearing House (NEACH) as the 2024 Rising Star. The Rising Star Award, presented annually, recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the innovation, excellence, implementation, or promotion of electronic payments.

Promotions

Addition Financial Credit Union is pleased to announce that Betsy Thompson has been promoted to the position of Director of Commercial Lending and Business Services. In her new role, Betsy will oversee the credit union’s commercial lending production, as well as manage the servicing of business member accounts.

Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) has announced five management team promotions, including Ellen Liddle, Genesis Nicklaw, and Ashley Noji to senior vice president, and Reid Hinaga and Jason Martinson to division manager.
