Georgia United Credit Union Unveils State-of-the-Art Branch
Featuring a contemporary design and layout that focuses on forging deeper connections with members, Georgia United Credit Union opened the doors today to its newly built, 3,000-square-foot Cumming full-service branch at 731 Atlanta Highway.
Georgia United’s former Cumming branch at 312 Canton Highway closed at the end of the business day on Friday, September 20. The new branch is 2.5 miles from the old location.
The modern floorplan and workflow of the new branch mirror elements Georgia United has rolled out in other branches, redefining the in-person banking experience with a relaxing comfort zone, a beverage bar area, flexible office space and personalized service stations designed to meet members' evolving needs.
The most significant change members will notice is the absence of a traditional teller counter. Georgia United values its team members and has invested in upskilling tellers to become member consultants. These consultants now have the ability to sit down with members at dedicated service spots to provide personalized advice and product recommendations. Shareable screens further enhance the interactive experience.
“Our team members are no longer confined by teller counters. By transforming them into member consultants, we've empowered them to have more meaningful, one-on-one conversations with members,” said Georgia United Senior Vice President of Member Experience Steve Swanson.
For quick banking needs like deposits, loan payments or withdrawals, members can access six on-site ATM+ stations. Additionally, three exterior ATM+ stations will offer 24/7 convenience.
“For decades, we’ve proudly served the Forsyth County community,” Swanson said. “Our new branch is a reflection of our continued commitment to delivering top-tier financial support, and we are excited to welcome the community into this modern, member-focused space.”
