GLCU Foundation Donates More than $11K to CUAid Campaign for Hurricane Milton Relief Efforts

The GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment has donated more than $11,000 to the National Credit Union Foundation's (NCUF) CUAidcampaign to support those impacted by Hurricane Milton. This contribution reflects the GLCU Foundation's commitment to assisting communities that have been impacted by natural disasters.

The NCUF's CUAid program plays a crucial role in providing timely support for individuals and communities affected by natural disasters throughout the year. In 2023 alone, the CUAid program awarded $644,000 in grants to assist those affected by various natural disasters across the United States. CUAid has made a significant impact since its inception, distributing a total of $10.2 million in disaster relief funds since 2005.

"By contributing to the National Credit Union Foundation's CUAid program, the GLCU Foundation is reinforcing its commitment to supporting the community during challenging times," said Matthew Rizzie, Executive Director of the GLCU Foundation. "Together with the NCUF, we're making a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by Hurricane Milton and other natural disasters."
