GTE Financial Earns 2023 Gold Aetna Workplace Well-being Award
GTE Financial is proud to announce they have earned the Making a Difference Gold level Aetna Workplace Well-Being Award for the seventh consecutive year. This award recognizes a strong commitment to providing workplace well-being resources, programs, and support for employees. As an employer with a strong commitment to improving the health and wellness of its employees, the credit union features a comprehensive well-being strategy that employees feel inspired by and grow passionate about.
GTE’s LiveWell program, the credit union’s comprehensive wellness program, educates, engages, empowers, and supports employees to make impactful lifestyle behavior changes. Through LiveWell, GTE promotes healthy lifestyles by providing an on-site gym and ¼ mile outdoor fitness track at headquarters, a monthly wellness allowance, ongoing education, and engagement activities.
“We’re honored to have received this award for the seventh consecutive year,” said Jasiel Legon, Chief Talent Officer of GTE Financial. “GTE LiveWell, our health and wellness program, is as much a part of our culture as the passion we have to serve our members and community. It’s simply part of the way we do business, it is proven that employee wellness creates a more productive and engaging work-life experience, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of a company that emphasizes employee health and wellness for all of its employees.”
The award application and well-being program were honored based on GTE’s superior performance in the following areas:
● Established an exceptional program for over eight years
● Well-integrated program and resources
● Received support from executives and middle management
● Provided a budget with incentive rewards in place
● Offered worksite policies to support the health of GTE employees
“Congratulations to GTE Financial,” says Malissa Chavarria, Director of Sales and Account Management. “This recognition shows how they emphasize the importance of employee well-being. We’re proud to be partnered with GTE.”
