GTE Financial is proud to announce the awarding of a $5,000 grant to Tampa Bay Kayak Anglers (TBKA) during the Tampa Bay Lightning's Noche Latina night celebration. This grant underscores GTE Financial's commitment to enhancing community engagement and promoting diversity within the Tampa Bay area. As an organization dedicated to empowering the community, GTE Financial recognizes the vital role that TBKA plays in fostering inclusivity and environmental stewardship through activities such as kayaking and fishing.

“We are thrilled to partner with Tampa Bay Kayak Anglers in their mission to unite and educate the community,” said Cynthia Colon, Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Impact at GTE Financial. “This grant comes at a critical time as TBKA navigates recovery from the impacts of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. We believe that by supporting organizations like TBKA, we can help build a stronger, more inclusive community for all.”

The funds will support the organization's ongoing efforts to engage the Hispanic community and bring people together through unique outdoor experiences while also focusing on the essential work of protecting and preserving local waterways.

"Tampa Bay Kayak Anglers is deeply grateful for the generous $5,000 grant from GTE Financial, presented during the Tampa Bay Lightning Noche Latina celebration. This crucial support comes at a pivotal time for our organization, as we work to recover from recent hurricane impacts. The funds will enable us to  continue uniting the Hispanic community in enjoying and protecting our waterways through cleanups, kayaking, and fishing clinics. Thank you GTE Financial," comments Tatiana Cox Lopez, Community Outreach Director of Tampa Bay Kayak Anglers.

Through this collaboration, GTE Financial hopes to cultivate a deeper connection between the Hispanic community and outdoor recreational opportunities, paving the way for vibrant community involvement and environmental awareness.
