Hawaii State FCU Opens New Branch at Safeway Waikele

Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest in-store branch located at Safeway Waikele on Oahu. The new Waikele Branch at Safeway is part of Hawaii State FCU’s ongoing expansion to offer its members more convenient banking options across Oahu and Maui.

“We are excited to bring this new branch to the Waikele community, continuing our mission of making banking easier and more accessible for our members,” said Andrew Rosen, president and CEO of Hawaii State FCU. “Over the past two years, we’ve expanded our footprint with several in-store branches at Safeway locations across Oahu and on Maui. These smaller branches are designed to combine convenience with innovative banking technology, while still providing the personal, relationship-focused service that our credit union is known for.”

The Waikele Branch at Safeway offers a full range of products and financial services, including mortgage loans and investment services. The 420-square-foot branch features an open-concept design with two Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), which provide the functionality of a traditional ATM, along with live teller assistance when needed. The branch also includes interactive screens and digital displays, allowing for a streamlined, technology-driven banking experience. Located at 94-809 Lumiaina Street in Waikele Center, the Waikele Branch at Safeway will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This latest branch is part of Hawaii State FCU’s strategic expansion into Safeway stores, with other branches already open at Safeway Kapahulu, Safeway Hawaii Kai, and Safeway Kihei. Hawaii State FCU currently has 15 branch locations across Oahu and Maui.
