SD Metro Magazine honors outstanding young leaders making an impact in San Diego County
San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®) is proud to announce that SDCCU Senior Vice President of Business Development & Community Relations, Heather Diamond, was named among SD Metro Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40. The award recognizes outstanding young leaders who are positively impacting their organization and the San Diego community.
Diamond was selected for her leadership and passionate commitment to positively impacting the
San Diego community through financial education, business development and community relations. In 2023, Diamond led SDCCU’s launch of its inaugural Lift Up Literacy book drive campaign, in partnership with the San Diego County Library (SDCL), to promote literacy throughout San Diego County. The campaign collected 11,058 books to help increase access to reading through SDCL’s 33 branches, five kiosks and Free Little Libraries. SDCCU also helped raise over $483,972 for Rady Children’s Hospital during the iHeart Rady Children’s Giveathon in December 2023 where Diamond and a team of SDCCU employees were in studio answering phones during the Giveathon. Diamond has also led an integrated effort to deliver financial resources to the community, and since 2020, Diamond and her team have presented more than 750 webinars to nearly 15,000 attendees on a variety of topics designed to improve financial health through SDCCU’s Financial Wellness Wednesdays program.
The credit union has reached over 437,000 members, and Diamond’s leadership has greatly contributed to SDCCU’s growth and success. With her support, SDCCU remained a top national credit union and was voted BEST Credit Union for the 24rd consecutive year and for the 14th year in a row: BEST Financial Planner and BEST Mortgage Home Loan Provider, as well as BEST Place to Work and BEST Auto Loan Provider for the 10th year in The San Diego Union-Tribune Readers Poll.
“We are very proud that Heather has once again been selected for this well-deserved honor,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “Heather has made and continues to make an extremely positive impact on SDCCU and the entire community through her innovative ideas and commitment to excellence. We are incredibly grateful to have her as a core member of the SDCCU team.”
Diamond joined SDCCU as Business Development and Community Relations Manager in 2018, bringing with her nearly a decade of experience in marketing, business development and communications.
