Mahalo Banking Wins Best of Show Finovate Fall 2023
Only digital banking provider recognized for its enhanced neurodiversity platform functionality
Mahalo Banking, a CUSO that provides online and mobile banking solutions for credit unions, was named Best of Show at this year’s Finovate Fall for its Thoughtful Banking™ platform features.
Mahalo is the only digital banking platform provider awarded Finovate Best of Show for its Thoughtful Banking™ functionality, engineered to deliver humanized digital banking capabilities that cater to the neurodiversity of members. During the event, more than 60 short-form live demos were presented by leading fintech organizations. These presentations showcased innovative banking and financial technology and key insights from industry thought leaders. Audience members then selected Mahalo as a Best of Show winner, affirming the company’s ongoing commitment to pioneering innovation.
“Congratulations to Mahalo on their win,” said Greg Palmer, Host of Finovate. “It’s great to see the industry responding positively to this kind of inclusive technology, and it’s clear we can all expect a lot from the Mahalo team.”
Introduced earlier this year, Thoughtful Banking™ delivers humanized digital banking capabilities that accommodate credit union members with varying neurodiverse considerations, ensuring these members receive the same seamless banking experiences as others. Denny Howell, co-founder and COO of Mahalo, presented the Finovate demo of the solution’s features such as alternate color schemes to accommodate every type of colorblindness, dyslexia-friendly fonts, left-handed toggle modes, anxiety-reducing interface design and more.
“We are deeply honored to be awarded Best of Show by Finovate,” Howell said. “The interactions we had with Finovate attendees provided enlightening insights into the meaningful, human impacts of our technology. After presenting our Thoughtful Banking solution, numerous individuals expressed their gratitude to our team for developing technology that makes the digital banking experience more accessible for themselves or their loved ones. Witnessing these real emotional expressions of how much our technology means to neurodiverse individuals was incredibly heartwarming and rewarding.”
