Mazuma Credit Union to Host 75th Anniversary Celebrations across Kansas City

CU Members and local communities are invited to “Party Like You Own the Place”

–As it celebrates 75 years of serving Kansas City in 2023, Mazuma Credit Union will be hosting events this summer at branch locations around the Kansas City metropolitan area. The organization traditionally holds annual Member Appreciation Events during the summer months, and this year is going even further with elevated community gatherings that honor its long history of Making Kansas City a Better Place to Live, Work, and Bank. In keeping with the Credit Union’s commitment to accessibility, local pride, and authentic service, the 75th Anniversary Celebrations will be held at Mazuma branch locations across the city so Members and community members can celebrate close to home. Mazuma will provide free food from local favorites, refreshing chilled beverages, lively music, fun games, exciting giveaways, and more as it deepens the personal connections the Credit Union has created with its Members and community in a festive, neighborhood environment. “Our theme for this summer’s celebrations is ‘Party Like You Own the Place – Because You Do’ since our Members all have an ownership interest as part of the Credit Union,” says Caroline Engle, Mazuma’s Director of Marketing. “We’re a proudly local institution, so it’s a privilege for us to give back to Kansas City by providing these opportunities to celebrate our longevity and growth together. We also love to throw a good party, so we’re very excited for this summer’s events.” Deonne Christensen, Mazuma’s President and CEO, says “As a Member-owned financial cooperative, our success is our Members’ success. We’re honored to celebrate 75 years of service to our Members and our community with the people who give us our purpose. It’s always a pleasure to connect with our community at these events and this year promises to be extra special. We hope to see you there!” To learn more about this summer’s 75th Anniversary Celebrations and view the full event schedule, visit members.mazuma.org/events/.
