Mission City Federal Credit Union Appoints Kamil Sakici as Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors of Mission City Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment selection of Kamil Sakici as the credit union’s new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sakici will succeed Mr. David Waterman, who is retiring after 12 years of dedicated service.

“We are excited to have Kamil join our team at Mission City as our new CEO,” said Thai Tran, Board Chairperson. “Kamil’s extensive experience building community-focused financial organizations will enable Mission City to continue growing and serving our community. Kamil has demonstrated the ability to balance membership growth with financial performance and organizational development. Our staff and Board of Directors look forward to working with Kamil.”

Kamil holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from DePaul University and a Master of Science in Management from Boston University. Throughout his extensive credit union experience, Kamil has driven and implemented strategies to grow memberships and financial assets in diverse markets across the country, build member-centric organizations built on trust, and promote a culture of knowledge and openness in the credit union staff. In his most recent role at Financial Partners Credit Union, Kamil implemented data-driven deposit strategies that significantly grew deposits. Kamil’s breadth of experience and ability to define and drive strategies will in turn drive continued success for Mission City Credit Union.
