Public Service Credit Union’s Project Giveback
The tradition of giving back continues for Public Service Credit Union. For the past 3 years now, PSCU has sent out a survey to its members asking, what are your holiday wishes? And if you could choose a gift for someone in need, what would you give? For some of those who respond, PSCU does an extraordinary thing… they call it Project Giveback. Public Service Credit Union created Project Giveback in 2020 to invigorate the spirit of giving during a difficult year, for members, staff, and the Fort Wayne community. And just like that…a tradition began. For Project Giveback 2022, hundreds of surveys were submitted, so many heartwarming stories, asking for gifts for others. The staff sprang into action and made a giant list. They shopped, and wrapped, gifts big and small for young and old. Then they invited guests and their families to share in the holiday spirit and the joy of opening their gifts. Mrs. Claus was even there for photos and to remind us there is so much to be thankful for. “This year we did a lot more than we’ve done in the past, I know our presents were a lot bigger this year! We had a lot of our members ask for a gift for someone else rather than a gift for themselves, which made it even more special!” -Casey Elliott, PSCU Staff. And with Project Giveback the employees at Public Service Credit Union get to show their members, as well as the community, the power of serving and giving back.
