Reliant Credit Union Awards $24,000 in Scholarships

June 6, 2024— Reliant Credit Union is pleased to announce that 14 students will receive scholarships through its 2024 Donald K. Rhine Scholarship program. The scholarship is open to any Reliant member who currently attends or plans to attend an accredited two- or four-year college full-time in the coming school year. Created in honor of the founder of Reliant Credit Union, the scholarship is awarded to students who exemplify the credit union’s “people helping people” philosophy.

This year’s recipients of Reliant’s Donald K. Rhine scholarship are listed below, along with their hometowns.

  • Jackson Slavny – Victor

  • Alexander Steele - Webster

  • Judith Ugalde - Ontario

  • Simeon Van Duyne – Sodus

  • Kailey Vernon - Marion

Reliant congratulates its scholarship recipients and commends them for their continuous efforts to serve the community. Reliant has offered the Donald K. Rhine scholarship since 1998 and has awarded more than $263,000 to members to date, including $24,000 in 2024
