Rock the Riverfront Classic Rock Hunt Comes to an End for 2024

The RCU Foundation’s Rock the Riverfront Classic Rock Hunt, sponsored by Market & Johnson, ended on the evening of Tuesday, June 18. Beau Sweitzer of Chippewa Falls found the rock hiding at Mound Hill Park in Elk Mound, Wis. He and 3 friends were actively hunting for the rock and took time to get the clues and research them before finding the rock. Beau notes that he plans to put the $500 prize into his savings account for upcoming expenses.

In addition to the Classic Rock Hunt a Youth Rock Hunt held earlier in June this year. This scavenger hunt created an opportunity for kids and families to get out and explore their communities. There was a small rock hidden in 8 different Royal Credit Union communities. The children who found the rocks received a Royal Credit Union Piggy Bank and $50 cash!

Rock the Riverfront, featuring the Charity Classic, is celebrating 30 years of running and walking to support organizations that make a difference in the communities that Royal Credit Union serves.  The event will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Eau Claire’s Phoenix Park and includes a 10K and 2-mile run/walk, half- and quarter-mile youth races, family games, and food trucks. Proceeds from the 2024 Rock the Riverfront event will benefit three local animal rescue organizations: Chippewa Humane Association, Dunn County Humane Society, and Eau Claire County Humane Association. Registration details are available at rcu.org/Race.

The RCU Foundation thanks Market & Johnson for sponsoring the Classic Rock Hunt and the Youth Rock Hunt. More information is available at www.rcu.org/Race.
