Rock The Riverfront Coloring Contest Starts Today

The RCU Foundation Rock the Riverfront Youth Coloring Contest starts on Monday, March 11, 2024.  This contest is for youth 12 years old and under and encourages creativity while building awareness for the annual run/walk and the animal rescue organizations that it supports in 2024.  Ten winners will be selected the week of March 25, and prizes will include a Royal Credit Union (Royal) swag basket valued at $25. To participate, community members can pick-up coloring sheets at any Royal office or print a copy online from rcu.org/Race. Completed entries need to be returned on or before March 22 and can be dropped off at any Royal office, emailed to foundation@rcu.org, or mailed to RCU Foundation Rock the Riverfront Coloring Contest, PO Box 970, Eau Claire, WI 54702.  WEAU 13 News is the proud sponsor of this contest.

The Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic is celebrating 30 years of running and walking to support organizations that make a difference in the communities that Royal Credit Union serves. Recognizing the important role that household pets play in many people’s lives, proceeds from the 2024 Rock the Riverfront event will benefit three local animal rescue organizations: the Chippewa Humane Association, Dunn County Humane Society, and Eau Claire County Humane Association. These organizations are committed to providing care to animals while they wait for a second chance at finding loving families.  The RCU Foundation is proud to support these organizations that make a difference in the Chippewa Valley.

Registration will be offered for both the in-person race and a virtual race through June 22.  In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Charity Classic, the RCU Foundation will donate a total of $30,000 to the nonprofit partners. Every registration includes a free charity vote and additional votes can be purchased at $2 each. The charity with the most votes will receive $15,000, second place will receive $10,000, and third will receive $5,000. Registration details are available at rcu.org/Race
