Rogue Credit Union Raises Over $246,000 For Local Hospital

On Friday, December 13, Rogue Credit Union leaders visited Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center to present a donation of $246,794 and gift a wagon full of Wally the Wolf stuffed animals to children receiving care.

The donation includes funds raised throughout 2024 by Rogue Credit Union members and team members. This contribution is part of Rogue Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to support the Pediatrics Unit of the Olsrud Family Women’s and Children’s Hospital at Asante Rogue Regional, which opened in January 2024.

“This gift is an inspiring representation of the generosity of our members and team members,” said Matt Stephenson, president and CEO of Rogue Credit Union. “Today was a wonderful opportunity to share special moments with the children and families receiving life-saving care at Asante, reinforcing Rogue’s commitment to living, giving and supporting local.”

Members of Rogue’s leadership team and Asante staff were accompanied by Wally the Wolf, a mascot from the credit union’s Rogue Rangers program, as they delivered dozens of Wally the Wolf-inspired stuffed animals to the delight of patients and their families. Deliveries were made to children receiving care in the Pediatrics Unit and NICU, both of which provide some of the only specialized care available in Southern Oregon. Supporting this high-quality care for local children is central to Rogue Credit Union’s continued partnership with Asante, which spans three decades.

“Because of Rogue Credit Union members and employees giving what they can, Asante is able to care for thousands of local children and build upon programs and services to provide wrap-around support to families. It is truly a special partnership, and one that we look forward to celebrating every year.”

This year’s contribution represents multiple fundraising efforts throughout 2024 and set a new record. Rogue Credit Union is proud to support the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Asante Rogue Regional, and extends a special thanks to its members and team members, whose support made this gift possible.
