SDCCU Collects More Than 4,200 Pounds of Pet Food Through the Inaugural Full Bowls Campaign in Partnership with Rancho Coastal Humane Society

Donations stocked the shelves of Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s food pantry

San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, collected and donated 4,224 pounds of dog and cat food to help support the efforts of Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) through the inaugural Full Bowls campaign. Donations were collected at all San Diego County SDCCU branch locations during the month of March and were delivered to RCHS to help stock the shelves of the organization’s food pantry.

“We are thrilled at the success of our inaugural Full Bowls campaign,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “We are so grateful for the generosity of all those who donated and are proud to support the great work Rancho Coastal Humane Society does for animals in need in our community.”

Community donations will help RCHS feed animals in their care, as well as be distributed to animals in need through their pet food bank, which aids pet parents who need a helping paw. According to RCHS, more than $30,000 is spent annually to feed their shelter pets. The food donations will allow RCHS to allocate additional funding to veterinary care and other necessary costs.

Rancho Coastal Humane Society is dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned companion animals, promoting adoption into loving homes and offering education programs and support services that inspire and strengthen the human-animal bond. For more information, visit rchumanesociety.org.
