The start of the new school year is an exciting time for children, but school shopping can be a struggle for some families. To help support local students heading back to school in the fall, Sikorsky Credit Union hosted Back to School Drives in their branches over the summer. The credit union received many donations, which were provided to their local community partners: Boys & Girls Club of Lower Naugatuck Valley, McGivney Center of Bridgeport, Boys & Girls Club of Milford, Sterling House of Stratford and the Community Action Agency of Western CT.

Ken Ferrari, SVP/Chief Lending Officer at Sikorsky Credit Union explained, “We had another successful Back to School Drive this year. Our members and employees were very generous, and I was thrilled to see the amount of school supplies that were donated. Together we can make a difference in our communities by helping children with a good start to the school year.”

Shaye Roscoe, Chief Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Lower Naugatuck Valley was thankful for the school supplies and shared “We truly appreciate the continued support from Sikorsky Credit Union for helping our Club Kids kick off the new school year by donating much-needed school supplies to help our kids succeed in school!”
