Sikorsky Credit Union Supports The Dolly Parton Imagination Library In Stratford

For a fourth year, Sikorsky Credit Union donated $5,000 to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Stratford, CT.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth until they begin school. The Imagination Library was started in 1995 by singer Dolly Parton and it was her mission to foster a love of reading among preschool children and ensure that every child has books - regardless of their family’s income. Each month, registered children receive an age-appropriate book directly to their homes. The Stratford chapter is headed by the Stratford Education Foundation and began in 2019.

Janet Lengel, the Coordinator of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Stratford shared, “Stratford is proud to be an affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Thanks to organizations such as Sikorsky Credit Union, we are able to sustain this program for thousands of children receiving books in Stratford. This donation is invaluable in preparing our young ones for a successful future!”

Vincent Ciambriello, President & CEO of Sikorsky Credit Union added, “We are proud to partner with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to provide young children in Stratford with essential resources to set them up for success at an early age. We are confident children will develop a passion for reading with these books.”
